The People Behind VP™

Professor Arie Oliven

Head of Internal Medicine at the Ruth and Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine, Technion (Israel Institute of Science and Technology), Haifa, initiated the computerized OSCE exam approach in 2007 and is still very much involved in the system's design today. Since 2008, the VP™ system is being handled by Virtual Patient Ltd., the software company dedicated to research and development of the VP™ system.

Technion Relationship

The VP™ system was developed in full cooperation with the Ruth and Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine, Technion (Israel Institute of Science and Technology), Haifa. Virtual Patient Ltd. and Technion entered a business partnership via the T3 - Technion Technology Transfer office in order to further develop and promote the VP™ system.

The VP™ system serves as the standard learning and testing facility of the Internal Medicine department at the Ruth and Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine, Technion.
